Noah was a drunk Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal

Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything

Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer...........AND
Lazarus was dead!
So, ...............no more excuses now!!!

Christus’ Bloed

Ik maak aanspraak op ‘t bloed van Christus voor mij,

Verzoening voor mijn zonden.

Voor mij overwon Hij het venijn,

Nu leef ik ongeschonden.

Mijn Verlosser, Heer, want zonder U

Was ik miserabel en ellendig.

Mijn hart, O Koning, dat weet U,

Is nu van U, voor eeuwig.

Voor mij is ‘t kruis hoog opgericht,

Hij hing tussen hemel en aarde.

Geen mens blijft staan in Zijn gericht,

Zonder die daad van waarde.

Ik maak aanspraak op ‘t bloed van Christus, voortaan!

Want Hem heb ‘k nu nodig.

Zonder Christus, is ‘t een leeg bestaan,

Op meer kan ik dan niet hopen.

Het bloed van Christus:

Troost, Trouw en Zeker.

Voor mij geplengd,

Uit d’Hemelse Liefdesbeker.

Het bloed van Christus:

wast dagelijks rein.

Verheugt, mijn hart,

Gods liefde zingt voor mij!

Van schuld ben ik vrij, de hemel, mijn thuis!

Door het bloed van Christus,

Zijn kruis!
